Here we are on the dreaded topic: Waxing. The word alone is scary. I started waxing around 2 years ago and now I hate the thought of shaving. Shaving will ultimately ruin your skin, especially if you are a woman of color. I have no problem being open about my skin and shaving left my bikini line so scarred, so I decided to try waxing. I also use PFB Vanish Chromabright, which is an exfoliating serum that you can use on your bikini line, underarms (doubles as a deodorant), and anywhere you get ingrown hairs. Waxing along with the PFB serum and regular exfoliation has saved my bikini line over time. I wax my underarms as well and PFB has also helped with evening out my skin tone in that area.
I know what some of you are thinking: "but waxing hurts", and well...you're right. Waxing is not going to be a pleasant experience since you are getting the hair ripped out of your skin. However, once you start to go often the pain will begin to subside. Waxing will become less painful over time because the hair starts to grow in thinner and finer, so it will become easier to remove. I know another concern that people have with waxing is sensitivity. I have very sensitive skin, but I have an amazing wax lady that knows my skin, so I never have a problem with irritation. I personally think waxing with someone who specializes in skin is very important. I go to an actual wax studio with women who are licensed estheticians, so they actually went to school to learn their skill. Please, ladies, do not get waxed in a nail salon; quality over quantity is very important when waxing. So my advice to anyone who is afraid of waxing: DO IT. You won't regret it.
A little advice to the fella's that get razor bumps and ingrown hair from shaving you can use PFB as well.

Here are links to the products that have helped me with ingrown hairs and even skin tone in my bikini area and my underarms. Dry brushing before you shower is very important for smooth, even skin:
